Record audiences have tuned in to watch the 2021 Hi-Tec Oils Bathurst 6 Hour on the screens of Seven.
Sunday’s expansive coverage, which included the full 6 Hour enduro and the final Supercheap Auto TCR Australia race, was viewed by an average national audience of 163,000 people on 7mate, with a peak audience of 276,000. The total audience reach of the broadcast was 720,000 people.
A record 16 hours of coverage was shown across 7mate and 7plus across Saturday and Sunday, the most ever for the event.
As well as the broadcast on the Seven Network, the race was also seen by a global audience watching on Sky Sports New Zealand and streaming via motorsport.tv, as well as the TCR and GT World Challenge’s category channels.
More than one million people were reached by both the event and key category social media channels, with more than a quarter of a million digital video views consumed across the event period.
The numbers make this year’s event comfortably the most viewed Bathurst 6 Hour and Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships event yet.
Over 15,000 people attended the three-day event at Mount Panorama, held in stunning conditions across the Easter long weekend.
The event attracted more than 270 competitors from around Australia, including a 60-car entry in the Bathurst 6 Hour itself, won by Shane Smollen, Rob Rubis and Shane van Gisbergen driving a BMW M4.
Seven's coverage of key Australian Racing Group categories and the Shannons Motorsport Australia Championships continues at Sydney Motorsport Park on May 1-2.
