WTCR TITLE BATTLE WIDE OPEN, SAYS LEADER GUERRIERI
Esteban Guerrieri is in no doubt that the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO is wide open with 12 races remaining. The Honda-powered ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport driver tops the standings by 24 points over Norbert Michelisz heading into the Asian leg of the series. But with a maximum of 340 points up for grabs, Guerrieri is braced for a hard battle between this month’s WTCR Race of China and the season-deciding WTCR Race of Malaysia from 13-15 December. Cyan Racing Lynk & Co’s Thed Björk expects plenty of passing when part two of the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO season gets underway at the Ningbo International Speedpark. Norbert Michelisz, who resumes his bid to win the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO at WTCR Race of China, has revealed that Tom Kristensen and Michael Schumacher continue to inspire him to greatness at the wheel of his BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse i20 N TCR. FROM RUSSIA WITH A WIN FOR WTCR’S AZCONA
Mikel Azcona will resume his WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO campaign in China next month a winner following his triumph in a Russian Endurance Challenge event at the Moscow Raceway last month. Spaniard Azcona, who scored his breakthrough WTCR / OSCARO victory at the last event in Vila Real in early July for CUPRA-powered PWR Racing, joined forces with Evgeni Leonov and the VRC Team for the Russian event.
