BRZEZINSKI WINS AS CIHAN IS DENIED IN SLOVAKIA RING ESPORTS WTCR OSCARO
The second event of the 2019 Esports WTCR OSCARO season from RaceRoom delivered action and drama aplenty at a virtual Slovakia Ring on Sunday evening. While Poland’s Kuba Brzezinski (pictured leading) won Race One for Williams Esports, there was late heartbreak for Emre Cihan in Race Two when the Turkish driver came off worse following contact with eventual winner Alexander Dornieden from Germany, dropping from first to P11 on the final lap. DORNIEDEN LYNKS UP WITH FERNANDO ALONSO FOR WTCR SEASON TWO
A number of leading simracers began their Esports WTCR OSCARO bids when round two took place at a virtual Slovakia Ring. They included Germany’s Alexander Dornieden, the Esports WTCC champion from 2017, who has chosen the Lynk & Co 03 TCR for 2019 and represents Fernando Alonso’s FA Racing Esports team. LANGEVELD GETS ESPORTS WTCR PROMOTION
Niels Langeveld, a racer for real in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, qualified for the Esports WTCR OSCARO’s second server for the Slovakia Ring event having scored the most points of all in Server 3 at a virtual Hungaroring earlier this month. Click for full story.
BJORK, CYAN USE WTCR PEDIGREE TO BREAK NORDSCHLEIFE RECORD IN LYNK & CO 03 CYAN CONCEPT?
Cyan Racing has broken two Nürburgring lap records during development of the Lynk & Co 03 Cyan Concept, the road-going version of the Lynk & Co 03 TCR, a winner in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO in 2019. The achievement makes the Lynk & Co 03 Cyan Concept the fastest four-door car and the fastest front-wheel-driven car in the world around the fearsome 20,832-kilometre Nordschleife. It also marked the first time that a Chinese manufacturer has set a record on the legendary layout with a mass production-based car. Click for full story.

PROVISIONAL WTCR RACE OF CHINA TIMETABLE PUBLISHED
The provisional timetable for WTCR Race of China, rounds 19-21 of the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO is available online. Taking place at the Ningbo International Speedpark from 13-15 September, Race 1 is scheduled for 15h40 local time on Saturday 14 September with Race 2 and Race 3 following on Sunday 15 September at 14h30 and 15h50 respectively.
