KEITHLEY, KUNZE SHARE ESPORTS WTCR OSCARO WINS
Jack Keithley (Great Britain) and Julian Kunze (Germany) shared the wins as the second Esports WTCR OSCARO season began in spectacular fashion at a virtual Hungaroring yesterday evening. Keithley beat defending champion Bence Bánki (Slovakia) and Tim Jarschel (Germany) in Race One with Kunze winning Race Two from Nikodem Wisniewski (Poland) and David Nagy (Hungary). LANGEVELD SHINES ONLINE IN ESPORTS WTCR OSCARO
Niels Langeveld, a points-scorer in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO, showed off his simracing skills by taking two second place finishes in the Hungaroring Esports WTCR OSCARO opener. Competing in a virtual version of his Comtoyou Team Audi Sport RS 3 LMS, Dutchman Langeveld was in action on server three and scored more points than any of his rivals. Click for full story.
BJÖRK: WTCR TEAM-MATE MULLER A TOURING CAR LEGEND
Thed Björk marked Yvan Muller’s 50thbirthday by describing his Cyan Racing Lynk & Co team-mate as a “true legend in touring car racing”. Björk and Muller have worked together since 2017 when Muller took on a behind-the-scenes role as Björk claimed the FIA World Touring Car Championship for the Cyan-run Volvo Polestar squad. PROVISIONAL WTCR RACE OF CHINA TIMETABLE PUBLISHED
The provisional timetable for WTCR Race of China, rounds 19-21 of the 2019 WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO is available online. Taking place at the Ningbo International Speedpark from 13-15 September, Race 1 is scheduled for 15h40 local time on Saturday 14 September with Race 2 and Race 3 following on Sunday 15 September at 14h30 and 15h50 respectively.
